Activities in the broader Global Environmental Change Research Community: As the major funders of global change research globally, Belmont Forum and IGFA members frequently sponsor meetings of the global environmental change research programs and actively participate in the activities of the regional global environmental change research programs, the International Council for Science, the International Social Science Council, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the Convention on Biological Diversity, and others.
