Meetings

 
1) Belmont Forum/IGFA Council of Principals Meeting
: The Belmont Forum/IGFA Council of Principals is the group that is responsible for identifying and prioritizing for international collaboration on global change research. They are also responsible for identifying mechanisms, research bodies and funding options for engagement in global change research. The group meets at least annually and initially, more often. Their main focus is to discuss and develop means to meet the Belmont Challenge  and track progress toward addressing it.

 

2) Belmont Forum/IGFA Working Group Meetings: This group is composed of senior working-level representatives appointed by their Belmont Forum Member to coordinate their country or organization’s contribution to the Belmont Forum/IGFA-CoP and IGFA. The Working Group is responsible for implementing the necessary activities toward addressing the Belmont Challenge .

 

3) IGFA Meetings: The International Group of Funding Agencies, IGFA, meets as needed, but at least every two years. This group, composed of senior representatives from funding agencies, the global environmental change research programs, the regional global change programs,
